Tuesday Morning Recap

Gentlemen,

Tuesday we finished our study of Romans 8 with a discussion of verses 38 and 39.

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angles, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, Which is in Christ Jesus our lord.'”

What would change about your life if you had no fear of death?

Alleyne knew the fear of death.  Her faith allowed her to conquer that fear. She writes “…when I’m afraid it doesn’t help simply to ‘whistle a happy tune’ but it does help to sing, ‘A Mighty Fortress is our God.’ It also helps to remember that my life is hidden with Christ in God and to see myself sheltered under the wings of the Father.”  This life is not the end. Jesus tasted death so you wont have to.  If your faith is in Him you can live a life free of fear and anxiety.

Christ will never leave you or forsake you. What does that mean to you?

Todd said the word that the word that best describes this truth is “comfort.” We are not alone. The same God who created the limitless universe is always with us. Additionally, he wants what is best for us. Alleyne writes ” God will deal with the wicked around us and any wickedness in us.” He is in control. We can stop worrying.

You aren’t perfect. God knows this and still loves you. What does this mean to you?

Jack said we can have complete confidence in our relationship with Christ. We never have to worry that Jesus will learn something about us that will make Him stop loving us.  There is no need to earn His love. This frees us to spend our time serving Him.

Next week we meet at Perk for a time of fellowship. The following Tuesday we begin a study of the 23rd Psalm.

See you at Perk.

John
