Tuesday Morning Recap

Gentlemen,

Tuesday we concluded our series on 2 Timothy. I think this study resulted in some of our best discussions. I hope you agree.

Tuesday we talked about chapter 4:9-22.

1) What does this passage teach us about the Christian life?

Bob noted that Paul was very involved in the lives of his fellow Christians. This shows us that you can’t be a ‘Lone Wolf’ Christian. Christian community is essential to becoming the people God intends.

Chris noted that Paul wasn’t shy about calling out those who opposed the faith. We should always be willing to stand for the gospel. As was the case with Paul, we might find this leads to persecution. However, as Paul wrote, it is a blessing to suffer for the truth.

2) What matters most?

Jack said that the thing that matters the most in life is having a relationship with Christ.

Aubie added that our relationships with family and friends are extremely important.

We all agreed that a strong relationship with Christ makes our other relationships better.

Next week we begin a series on Galatians. Our text will be Galatians 1:1-24. Consider the following questions:

1) What is the source of Paul’s teaching?

2) What difference does this make?

See you Tuesday morning.

John
