10 Alive Recap

Sunday we continued our series on Jesus’ healings with a discussion of Luke 18:35-43.

1) Why wouldn’t the blind man stop crying out and why did the crowd try to silence him?

Chris said that the blind man was desperately wanted healing. He wasn’t going to let anything or anyone prevent him from getting to Jesus. Chris added that we act the same way when we are desperate.

The crowd didn’t think Jesus needed to be bothered by this man. Jesus, however, demonstrated that He always has time to listen to His children. Jesus wants to hear about all our needs.

2) Why does Jesus ask the man ‘What do you want me to do for you?’

Paul said that the man needed both physical and spiritual sight. Jesus wanted the man and the crowd to know that Jesus had the power to make Him see. What we need most is to see things from the divine perspective.

3) What response does the man make?

He glorified God and followed Christ. We should be quick to give God all the glory and praise for the blessings He gives. Additionally, once we accept His grace we should follow Him and live lives that please Him.

Next week we conclude our series on Jesus’ healings with a discussion of Acts 3:1-10. Consider the following questions:

1) How did Peter and John heal?

2) What does that say about our ability to heal?

See you Sunday.
