Tuesday Morning Recap

Gentlemen,

Tuesday morning we continued our series on the life of Joseph with a discussion of his time with Potiphar.

“The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian, and his master saw that the Lord was with with him, and that the Lord caused all that he did to prosper in his hands.”

The Lord is with Joseph and blessing everything Joseph does. However, Joseph continues to suffer. He has been sold into slavery, wrongfully accused and thrown into prison. If the Lord favors Joesph then why is his life such a mess.

Bob noted that God sees the big picture. He is preparing Joseph to save a nation and his family. Even though Joseph can’t see the reason for his suffering he trusts God. Like Joseph we must cling to God’s promises when we face difficulties. God will never leave us or forsake us and He has a good and perfect plan for our life.

The key is to be patient and faithful as we wait on Him.

Next week Genesis 40. Consider the following questions:

1) What does Joseph learn about himself during his time in prison?

2) What does he learn about God?

See you Tuesday.

John
